Business Show draws good crowd; highlights local business

The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Business Show, Tioga Business 2014, on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 9:30 to 4 p.m. at the Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center in Owego, N.Y. Gracing the entrance is Jim Mead’s 1921 Packard convertible. Mead is owner of the Early Owego Antiques, located on Lake and Main in Owego, N.Y. and was represented at the business show. The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Business Show, Tioga Business 2014, on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 9:30 to 4 p.m. at the Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center. The event, underwritten by Tioga State Bank, attracted over 80 businesses for this networking event.

This year’s theme was “History in the Making.”

New businesses participated this year along with those that have been with the chamber for many years.

A celebratory ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m. There were also food samples and music throughout the day and Leadership Tioga was host a fund raising raffle.  In the afternoon, Lawler’s Liquors was host to a wine tasting.
