Quilted: Cotton and Color Combined is a collection of quilts and quilted items by Carolyn Campbell of The Walk-Up Gallery and Studio Space. Her new solo exhibition will open on Friday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Tioga Arts Council, located at 179 Front St. in Owego.
“My purpose in making quilts is to enjoy the process and to create something tactile and visually interesting that can also provide warmth,” said Campbell, adding, “These creations require lots of time designing and constructing.”
You can find Campbell quilt-making at The Walk-Up Gallery and Studio Space above the arts council. I hope you experience the delight that color in the form of quilts can bring to a space.”
Quilted: Cotton & Color Combined will be on display from beginning Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., or by appointment.
