The Tioga Adult Learning Lab (T.A.L.L.) has announced registrations are still being accepted for computer classes in November 2018.
Registrations are now being accepted for the following November 2018 classes: “Basics of Microsoft Windows, Word 2016 & Excel 2016” beginning Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. and meeting twice weekly until Thursday, Dec. 13. These comprehensive sessions will focus on the use of the Microsoft Windows operating system with instruction on file management, Word 2016 – a word-processing software program, and Excel 2016 – a spreadsheet program.
“Social Media – Using Facebook” meets Thursday, Nov. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. “Resume Success” meets Thursday, Nov. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m.; “Applying for Jobs Online” meets Thursday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.; “Using E-Mail Effectively” meets on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.
All classes will be held at Owego Middle School, Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego, Room 225. Students can pre-register by calling the Literacy Volunteers office at (607) 778-6406.
T.A.L.L. serves adult students throughout the Southern Tier, and is run by Literacy Volunteers of Broome-Tioga Counties, Inc. in partnership with Tioga County, NY. T.A.L.L. provides instruction in basic computer skills, and offers vocational assistance to those seeking employment. There are no fees for any of the classes or services T.A.L.L. provides.
