Grow your own vegetables! Learn how!

Would you like to grow your own fresh, healthy vegetables, but are not certain how to do it? Join Cornell Cooperative Extension and learn the best way to grow vegetables your whole family will enjoy. They will share their experience and tips so your garden will be successful.

Seed To Supper classes are being held around the county and at mobile food pantry distribution days. They will give you gardening supplies and a book to help you get started.

There is no charge for the classes or supplies.

Classes are taking place on May 15 and 22, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Waverly Resource Center on Broad Street in Waverly. Free childcare is available.

On May 27, at 9 a.m., five weekly classes will begin at Inspire located on E. Tioga Street in Spencer. Coffee and muffins will be provided.

Classes are also being scheduled at Tioga County Rural Ministry and the Candor Food Pantry, and you can call Barb Neal, horticulture educator at Cornell Cooperative Extension, at (607) 687-4020 to sign up.
