Dear Editor,
Three thousand years ago people created and worshiped a god and named it Molech. This false god was worshiped by its creators by sacrificing their children to it.
We have evolved since but we have retained this practice. We have now created and worship another god and named it Self. We sacrifice 1.7 million children each year, by forcing them to dodge abortion tools in their secure growth home.
Sacrificing children in both of these cases was done to please created gods so that the parents would have a better life. This heartless action resulted in destroying that old civilization. It will also cause this civilization to be destroyed unless we repent and moderate these actions to respect all life.
By the way, I attended the Owego High School Musical this year and marveled at the students’ professional acting after being in existence only approximately 15 years. I was then saddened realizing 1.7 million will never get this opportunity.
Humans are a marvelous creation with inherent potential crafted by the same God responsible for our great country. This God gave us freewill to be exercised in love. Killing defenseless humans doesn’t measure up to that plan. Meaningful confession and turning from previous actions can heal a down caste soul.
