On Sept. 8, 2015, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division concluded an investigation concerning the sales of heroin and methamphetamine within the Village of Owego.
John W. Morris, age 38 and of 57 Adaline St., Owego, N.Y. was arrested for two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, class B felonies, and one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony. Morris is accused of selling both heroin and methamphetamine to another person on multiple occasions in the Village of Owego, N.Y. according to the Sheriff’s Department.
John W. Morris was arraigned in the Town of Owego Court in front of Justice Patrick Hogan and was remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $40,000 cash bail or $80,000 bond.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Tioga County District Attorney Kirk Martin and also by members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team.
