Lockwood Fire Company to host third annual Firemen’s Field Days

The Lockwood Fire Company is putting the final touches on its Seventh Annual Firemen’s Field Days scheduled for July 25 and 26.

The field days will be held on Route 34, just north of Lockwood. Many events are scheduled to run both days, including crafts, a farmer’s and flea market (there are still spaces available), antique tractor displays, farm equipment displays, a dunk tank and games of chance, wagon rides, a kiddie tractor pull, money and basket raffles, food and beverages and special events throughout the weekend.

Saturday special events include fire, police and EMS safety displays with demonstrations from 1 to 4 p.m. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be an open car show. All are welcome, and registration is free. At 10 a.m. there will be a firemen’s water ball competition. The team captain’s meeting and contest will begin at 10 a.m. DJ Russ will spin tunes from 4 to 6 p.m.

On Sunday, July 25, the fire department will be hosting a garden tractor pulling contest. Driver registration will start at 9 a.m. with a driver’s meeting held at 10 a.m. followed by the pulling contest.
