The organizers of the 35th Annual Strawberry Festival, held June 19 and 20 in downtown Owego, N.Y., recently announced the winners from a variety of contests held.
For the Strawberry Hat Decorating Contest, the first place winner was Renee Roma, who won a gift certificate to the Black Cat Gallery; the second prize, of a gift certificate to the Early Owego Antique Center, was Denise Tarbox.
For the parade, in the ‘Group’ category, the first place prize of $100 was awarded to the Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center, and the second place prize of $50 was awarded to Owego Junior Football and Cheerleading.
For floats, the first place prize of $100 went to Kathy Hansen School of Dance, and the second place prize of $50 was awarded to St. Patrick’s School.
