Hot Biscuits, with Roger Bacorn, will perform this year at the annual Strawberry Festival in Owego, N.Y. from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 at Ahwaga Park, located next to the Barleycorn on Front Street and at the entrance to the Riverwalk.
Hot Biscuit plays a wide variety of great singer / songwriter songs, folk, country, pop, swing, jazz and eclectic, including covers by James Taylor, Ry Cooder, The Beatles, John Prine, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, and many more.
Roger Bacorn and Jim Lawrence started playing together 35 years ago in the Finger Lakes area, and have reunited to make great music again.
Roger has an amazing, beautiful voice. He plays and makes his own instruments, is a great flat-picking guitarist, as well as mandolin and other stringed instrument player.
Roger has been playing and entertaining in the Southern Tier for many years. He has a background in cabinet making, carpentry and guitar playing (he’s been playing since he was 12 years old, over 40 years).

Jim Lawrence has been playing for over 35 years in the Ithaca and upstate New York music scene, playing styles from jazz, folk, Motown, fusion, and pop to new wave, bluegrass and rock n’ roll.
In 1984 his band, “The Choice”, won the BBC Great American Rock n’ Roll Talent Search. From 1985 to 1991, Jim was the lead singer in “The Kinetics”, and currently also plays with The Backtalk Band in Ithaca.
