On Saturday, April 11, WEBO will be giving over its broadcast airwaves to the Owego Kiwanis Club for the annual tradition of Radio Day. The broadcast starts at 10 a.m. and goes to 5 p.m. on WEBO 1330 AM, 101.3, 105.1 and 107.9 FM.

Several guests will be dropping by the North Avenue studios of WEBO for informative, in-depth hour-long talks throughout the day.

Several local businesses have sponsored Radio Day as well, giving listeners a chance to find out which businesses are committed to supporting the valuable community support, which Kiwanis engages in throughout the year.

Kiwanis also supports several organizations such as the Waterman’s Center, Tioga County Rural Ministry, Owego Gymnastics, and the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club.

This year also marks the 90th Anniversary of Kiwanis in Owego. Special events are planned throughout the year highlighting what Kiwanis stands for, and how Kiwanis benefits the community. Radio Day is a great start, and a tradition in Owego that goes back more than 50 years.
