Using color theory to enhance your garden

Even though we are in the midst of a cold winter, you can start planning next year’s flower garden. Learn the basics of color theory to enhance your garden and container plantings at a workshop planned for Jan. 13 in Owego.

You will learn about different color schemes and learn techniques for making your plantings sizzle. The class will be a mix of lecture, interactive learning, and hands-on design practice.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Conference Room located at 56 Main Street in Owego, N.Y. To learn more, you can contact their offices by calling (607) 687-4020.

Barb Neal, CCE Tioga’s Community Horticulture Educator, will teach the workshop and the fee for the workshop is $5 per person, payable at the door.
