Vandals strike again at nature reserve

BARTON — Over the weekend of Aug. 29-30, vandals broke and pushed over a large wooden sign as well as dispersed a large number of beer and alcohol containers throughout the parking lot at Carantouan Greenway’s Wildwood Reserve in Barton. Volunteers visit daily to keep the green space clean, maintained and safe for the public to enjoy. Any community members that have information about the vandalism are asked to share it with the Greenway at 607-565-2636 or law enforcement in order to facilitate apprehension of those responsible for the damage. The Greenway reminds people that the reserve is open from dawn to dusk.
