Nichols United Methodist Church receives Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation Grant

NICHOLS — The Nichols United Methodist church thanks the Mildred Faulkner Truman

Foundation for the $25,000 grant to help repair and resurface the church’s asphalt

parking lot. We also thank God, our Heavenly Father, friend, helper and guide who guided us through this project.

This safe-smooth parking lot assures safe access for our many parishioners, quilters and pre-school, plus, community groups ie. voters, senior social and exercise groups, Girl Scouts, AA group, and Lioness group who use the church for meetings, fundraisers, parties and family gatherings.

We also thank the McNally Asphalt company who donated new concrete bumper stops and extra gravel for the gravel parking lot across the street. The Nichols Methodist Church welcomes all to view our parking lot and church during our Labor Day Celebrations Sept. 7.

We will be celebrating our 100+ years of faith in the Nichols community, and 100 years in our beautifully rebuilt stone church! Come join us!
