How do you like your steak, Joe?

Dear Editor: With 70% of the country not happy with our current government, that thirty percent has to rely on the old Red Scare. Groceries and fuel, yes heating fuel is going to climb, are so expensive hard working Americans have to go without or find other ways to eat and travel. You do not hear any of this from the people calling “communist” whenever they write here. McCarthy would be proud of you, but do you even know what a communist is?

We can always join the “us” Joe keeps talking about but there is still a divide from the few with wealth and those who work for it.What a paradise, no immigrants to work the nasty jobs we white people do not want to do, the high prices will stay because we have to wage war on those people, the “them.” We cannot forget that this is a nation of immigrants as much as Joe wants “us” to forget that. Yeah you have the chance to make wealth and survive better here, maybe that is why migrants try every year to come to.

Why are we not fixing that system to allow migration and welcome migrants? Is it their color? Strip that away and they still bleed. Is it their language? I seem to remember Spanish as one of those languages we learned in school. Perhaps it is our white privilege. Perhaps many of “us” are just full of hate for ourselves that drives “us.”

I have been reading much of the rants and raves in this column, most editorials are taken up by someone who is self righteous with an Italian name. Yes, even they were hated by the white people who arrived before them. Running from war, famine, or disease. No kings and queens were not socialists, they were the catalyst for the working men and women to cause revolution to make their social world better. So how do you like your steak, Joe? It’s going up once again with a president that talks big but only cares about his welfare. Seems to run in that family of “us.”
