A combined choir of singers from the Newark Valley area churches will perform a Christmas Cantata, Go Sing It on the Mountain, on Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Newark Valley United Methodist Church, located on Main Street in Newark Valley.
All are invited to come and celebrate the wonders and joys of the Christmas season. With a mixture of mountain melodies, folk hymns, spirituals, and familiar carols, this cantata is sure surprise and delight proclaiming the good news of Christ’s birth.
This free musical celebration will be directed by Mrs. Jewel Griffith and accompanied by Mrs. Brenda Yeier.
If inclement weather causes cancellation, the Cantata will be held on the following Sunday, Dec. 16, at the same time and location.
