On Thursday, April 21, 2016, the Tioga County Department of Social Services announced that Brenda Holt had been named Employee of the First Quarter 2016.
Holt has been with DSS since October 1996. She began as a Typist in the Income Maintenance Unit and then transferred to the Foster Care / Adoption Unit.
According to DSS, Holt exemplifies the agency’s vision statement.
In a press release, DSS stated, “Brenda’s work is of the highest quality. Brenda is professional and courteous. Brenda is a team player and has been flexible in her work schedule and is willing to cover for others as needed. Brenda does a great job of organizing and preparing manuals for Foster Parents and in-house staff training. Brenda assists caseworkers by typing case notes and she prepares the Foster / Adoptive Parent Quarterly Newsletter.”
Brenda is very involved with the DSS Newsletter Committee, the Christmas Luncheon Committee and the HHS Mixer Committee.
