It’s now the 17th, two days after the Owego Village election for Mayor and I still can’t find any websites that will tell you the count of the votes. And in fact, the Tioga County Election Board website hasn’t been updated since 2010. I started reading the Owego Village website and I got how close it was then realized it was last year’s. Does anybody ever update the websites? They certainly pay enough to two various software people to keep updating our computer spaces and plus, Owego is famous for being the last people in any election to report the results. Is that the way they plan it or is it just because they don’t know how to do it?

Follow the news: Everybody knows about the do nothing Republican Party, the famous party of no, the obstructionists that have given Donald Trump his offendent in the polls. The one thing the Republicans say yes to is another recess in congress. Those guys are always on vacation or should it be said always out to lunch.

Here comes the Trump hating Marxist Socialists. These disrupters want chaos through anarchist’s civil disobedience and shouting down opponents. They are militant left wing bullies that have beat the silent majority into quiet submission for decades. Those days are gone. The people have finally seen how these vipers have degraded the U.S.A. Now terrific candidates like Trump and Cruz are getting the appropriate support they deserve. Thank God for such anti-establishment candidates as Trump and Cruz who will make America great once again.

Life is a matter of perspective; someone here called Paul Ryan a failure. Let’s consider he was elected Speaker of the House by votes on both sides of the isle, something that in the last two decades has been as rare as hen’s teeth. He no longer has to keep a grueling schedule of politicking in all of 50 states. He no longer has to put up with constant debates of being attacked or attacking his fellow party members and the opposition. He’s not on a continuous round of fundraising for fickle bachelors demanding their pet projects down the road. Instead he calmly sits on the sidelines only two heartbeats away from that hard fought presidency. As Speaker of the House he controls what legislation is put before the president in which goes into other oblivion. By law, his position is the second most powerful position in this country. Paul Ryan, a man who someone calls a failure. I wish we could all fail so spectacularly.

I would like to comment on two issues. The idiotic things by the political reporter are getting to the point where it is no longer funny. As far as the Cal Harris trial, it’s like beating a dead horse. Someone said when the horse is dead it’s time to dismount. That’s what we should do with that, dismount.

War, want more war? Elect Donald J Trump for President. His short fuse will guarantee another war. That’s what we need is more veterans, more veterans without jobs with life ending injuries, homeless, wards of the state. Donald Trump for war. Think of that when you come to vote.

This is to the do nothing Democrats. Now we know Hillary wants to give free healthcare to illegals while U.S. citizens who live here have to pay for their own or be fined. What part of illegal does she not understand? Do you really think she understands what it is to be middle class with over $100 million? She isn’t like you or me. Also, how can you commit over 2,000 felonies and not go to jail with her emails? It doesn’t matter whether they were marked or not, it’s all in the content.

This is a wake up called to those so-called Christian churches and Christian individuals. The future of America is at stake. It is vital that we pray for our nation and for the upcoming presidential election. We need to pray our nation will return to the Godly principles that it was founded on. The bible says, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my faith and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive the sins and will heal their land.

I would like to make a comment about parents. When parents get old and need help from their kids, it’s a shame that the kids take everything from the parents and steal from banking accounts. They have one person that they have to look up to when it’s their time to go.

This is the old man on the hill again. I don’t usually take and counter a rocket scientist but this has got me a little upset. I’d like to know if he could match my certifications that I have on mentioning something I’ve done. I do have degrees and diplomas that he probably doesn’t have; yet I’m a veteran. Put that in his pipe and smoke it! He’s says to contact the right people to complain. If he could tell me who they are, I would. But it’s not the highway superintendent or probably the board up on 434!

I understand that some American companies are going to set up in Cuba. These are minimum wage jobs. The Cuban employees work and turn their money over to the government then the Cuban officials are going to turn over 20 hours a month for the employees, the government keeps the rest. What a great country and friend we have in Cuba.

All the Republicans have the idea that Ronald Reagan could walk on water, couldn’t do anything wrong. No one likes to mention wants to mention the Iran Contra Deal. If anyone knows anything about the Iran Contra Deal, that was not one of Reagan’s best moments. It was kind of an underhanded deal.

The Red Cross says if you travel to Mexico or the Caribbean or Central or South America, wait 28 days before giving blood. Oh, by the way, if you develop any symptoms in the two weeks after giving blood let the Red Cross know so your donation can be quarantined but what if it has already been used in an emergency? Then what? Can they haul it back? Why not simply put a two-month moratorium on donations instead. Then it would be really safe than sorry.

So nice to see the legislature lying to the public again. In the State of the County Address, they stated that the unemployment rate went down, and noted her appreciation for county employees. Did she mention that the county run bus service closed down? What about those people? Drivers, office workers, mechanics and those who rely on the bus service for their jobs? Did she mention them in the unemployment rate? She stated the state mandate for trying to stay under the tax cap. Did she mention that Tioga County now spends on an outside bus service? Broome and Chemung? The taxpayers are paying outside counties to run public transportation in our counties for a cost more than keeping our bus service open. Did she mention the extra cost to Medicaid for having taxis take people everywhere? There’s a lot more to the county than rainbows and sunshine.

I am distressed by the terrorist attack in Brussels. What our nation needs is to get back to God. We need to fall down on our knees and repent our evil deeds and ask God for his mercy. That is what we really need, we need to turn back to God and repent as a nation.

The killing in Brussels reminds us of how President Obama reacted to the terrorist organization Islamic State. He called them “The JV team” and “a bunch of guys in the back of a pick up.” He has ignored the recommendations of the 911 commission and as a result we had the terrorist attack in St. Bernardino. No signs of stopping the uncontrolled, government endorsed invasion over our borders.

The ditch in front of the property at the corner of Day Hollow Road and Gaskill Road has the remains of a deer (near the paper box). The remains are clogging and polluting the ditch towards the bridge.

Mr. Taylor, Tioga Central Superintendent, made a statement in the Sayre Morning Times that the Tioga school budget was to be raised up 7.63 percent. He stated that this was “within the NYS tax cap.” The truth is the NYS tax cap is 2 percent. Who is he trying to buffalo this time by his lies?

In the 50’s, or 60’s, I’m not sure which; a visiting Premier from Russia made a statement to our President. His statement, paraphrased, “Anyone would have to be a fool to attempt to invade America with the armed populace you have. It would be suicide!” The current fraudulent occupant of the Oval Office, Barrack Obama doesn’t seem to appreciate the deterrent power of an armed populace. Gee, I wonder if it interferes with plans he’d like to see take place.
