On Dec. 11, 2015, at about 10:16 p.m., New York State Police at Owego arrested Thomas L. Lightbody, 45, of Candor, N.Y. for the felony of criminal mischief 3rd and other traffic violations.

This arrest occurred after troopers responded to a Tioga County 911 report of a road rage incident on Straits Corners Road in the Town of Candor.  An investigation determined that during a road rage incident with another driver, Thomas L. Lightbody threw a hammer from his vehicle, which struck and damaged the other driver’s 2008 Chevrolet HRR.

According to police, Thomas L. Lightbody also tailgated and drove with his high beams on during part of the incident.

Thomas L. Lightbody was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Candor court on Dec. 14, 2015.
