Collector car Corvettes is still big business, and owning a shiny white 1973 Corvette Coupe is usually just a dream. However, thanks to Notre Dame High School in Elmira, N.Y., owning a desirable collector Corvette has become a yearly reality. Specifically, again this year, Notre Dame is raffling off a 1973 Corvette Coupe with a ticket price of $25 or six chances for $100.
The raffle has turned into one of the school’s top fund raising events, as each year a Corvette to be raffled off is displayed at the Arnot Mall, as it is this year. Equipped with an original 350 cubic inch V8 coupled to a Turbo automatic transmission, the school expects lots of activity trying to win a real collector Corvette.
This fully factory-optioned numbers matching ‘73 Corvette is a vehicle every car enthusiast would love to own. Notably, less than 1,350 miles per year since new means you’re going to receive a fine running Corvette if you are the winner. Super clean, this ‘73 C3 generation has never been exposed to smoke and has been painstakingly maintained.
During the past winter, the car was serviced and stored at a Corvette specialty dealer receiving many preventive, mechanical and performance upgrades including new brake rotors, calipers, pads, lines and master cylinder. Additionally, a new emergency brake line and assembly were installed along with brand new KYB America shocks, new engine fluids and filters and also a four tire wheel alignment. The transmission, main driveshaft, and rear half-shafts were also fully inspected.
Interested enthusiasts can send a check or money order for $25 for one ticket or six for $100 to: Notre Dame High School, Classic Car Raffle, 1400 Maple Ave., Elmira, N.Y. 14904 or see www.nortedamehighschool.com for credit card entry on the school’s Corvette Raffle form (that can be printed).
The Notre Dame Corvette drawing will be held Friday, Jan. 8, at the Arnot Mall and the winner need not be present to win. The winner is responsible for all taxes and delivery fees, the latter if necessary. Due to postal regulations, ticket stubs cannot be returned and your bank or credit card statement is your receipt. Ticket numbers can, however, be confirmed by calling (607) 734-2267 or by email to stuarttracy@notredamehighschool.com. If the winner would rather $10,000 cash, the choice is theirs.
