CCNN golf tournament raises funds to help community

The 12th Annual Community Care Network of Nichols (CCNN) Captain and Crew Golf Tournament took place recently at the Shepard Hills Golf Course in Waverly, raising dollars to support the efforts of this non-profit organization.

The first place team was Team Shepard Hills. The winner for “closest to the pin for women” was Cyera Mosier; “closest to the pin for men” was Dick Matson; “longest drive” for women was Cyera Mosier; and for men was Abram Nichols.

Terry Duffy won the 50/50 drawing. There were several other prizes given at the dinner after the tournament. No one was lucky enough to win the hole in one prize. CCNN would like to extend their appreciation to their sponsors.

Major sponsors included Tioga Hardwoods, Nichols Re Construction, Crestwood, Tioga Downs, Nichols First Presbyterian Church, and Kevin’s Royal Automotive.

Hole sponsors included Allstate Insurance, Arnold’s Excavation, Bit O’ Luck, ANSO of Florida, Coaches Pizza, Coughlin and Gerhart, Howard and Jayne Stoltzfus, Gail’s Diner, John H. Murray and Son Inc., Michael Santore Insurance, Nichols Chiropractic, Owego and Harford Railway, Sutfin Funeral Chapel, Palmer’s Manufactured Homes, Scott Smith and Son Inc., Tioga State Bank, Visions Federal Credit Union, Value Energy, and Ward and Van Scoy Inc.

Various businesses that donated prizes included the Lounsberry Truck Stop, Original Italian Pizza, Ted Clark’s Busy Market, J’s Clean Sweep, Johnson’s Pools and Spas, Shepard Hills Golf Course, the Open Door Mission, and Crestwood.
