Dear Editor,
Oct. 18-24, 2015, is the tenth annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries week, making it a good time to publicly thank the Friends of the Apalachin Library, and Friends of all libraries in our area.
Eight towns within Tioga County boast a library, and their friends contribute so much of their time and talent to enhance library services, through fundraising, assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the library building, and providing volunteers for the library’s community activities.
I know that the Apalachin Library is a source of pride for our community. I hope this week readers’ will call the library at 625-3333 to find out how they can join and support this outstanding group.
