Catholic Charities wishes to thank all of the individuals, grocery stores, and Social Services employees for helping to collect food for Tioga County residents. September was Hunger Action Month, but help is needed year round.
One in five children in the Southern Tier is food insecure. Catholic Charities notes that there are many new people who are coming for help for the first time.
The Catholic Charities food pantry helps any Tioga County resident. They are located at 139 Roki Blvd., Nichols, N.Y., and open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until noon, and 1 to 3 p.m.
