Wingfest is back at Traditions at the Glen

Back by popular demand, the 4th Annual Binghamton Wingfest will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, from noon to 6 p.m. at Traditions at the Glen located at 4101 Watson Blvd. in Johnson City, N.Y.

Live music will begin at noon and will feature four different bands throughout the afternoon. The wing tasting begins at 12:30 p.m. and voting will go until 4:30 p.m. The wing-eating contest will be at 4 p.m. and the official crowning of the “King of Wings” will take place at 5:30 p.m. Featured bands include The Look, The Bruce Beadle Band, The Falconers, and Wreckless Marci will be performing as well.

Last year’s Binghamton Wingfest saw nearly 20 vendors participating and about 2,000 guests.

Admission remains the same at $15 per person and will allow entry as well as give guests 10 wing tasting tickets. Additional wing tasting tickets will be available for purchase to allow guests the option of taking home some of their favorite wings.

This year they have added a new category to their “King of Wings” competition which will now feature a blind taste testing by a judge’s panel. Attendees will still be able to vote for their favorite wings as well, so there is the opportunity for two winners this year.
