April events at the Binghamton Zoo

The Binghamton Zoo’s 140th season is off to a running start with many events and promotions leading up to its Grand Opening on Saturday, April 18. Eggstravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. This Easter themed event is fun for all ages and includes an Easter egg hunt, photos with an Easter bunny, crafts and more. Hours are noon to 3 p.m., and the zoo closes at 4 p.m. Prices are $6 for members and $8 for non-members.

Are you a member of the Binghamton Zoo? A special Members-Only night will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. to welcome in the zoo’s loyal visitors for the season.

Not a member or need to renew your membership? Purchase a membership anytime that day in our Education Center to visit the zoo for free all season and to be entered to win a Wild Encounter, animal adoption, or a gift certificate for the zoo gift shop. During this event, a special behind the scenes tour will take place with one of their big cats throughout the evening. Don’t miss out on this fun event and support America’s 5th Oldest Zoo!

The Binghamton Zoo’s Grand Opening is set for April 18 and will then be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; zoo gates close at 5 p.m. Congressman Richard Hanna will be at the Grand Opening for a special ceremony at 10 a.m. as the zoo opens the gates for their 140th season.
