Candor Historical Society to feature guest speaker Rick Musa—Fish Haven Farm

Rick Musa, owner of Fish Haven Farm, located at 978 Owego Rd. (Route 96) in Candor, will be the speaker at the Candor Historical Society on Wednesday, March 25, at the Candor Town Hall at 7 p.m.

In 1985 Bass Haven Hatchery received a New York State Ag and Market grant to study bass raising techniques, which eventually led to the development of the current business and site. The farm focuses on a ‘green’ approach to farming and does not use or sell chemicals.

Today, Fish Haven Farm provides many species of fish, serving over 2,500 customers in New York and Pennsylvania to individual ponds and lakes, as well as supply county soil and water stocking programs.

The Candor Historical Society’s meetings are always free and open to the public, and refreshments are always on the table.
