Dear Editor, I am writing this letter not to talk about political views, but to merely say to the village that it has been my pleasure to serve them and to work alongside some very special people. First of all, I would like to say that you have had the hardest working mayor in Ed Arrington that you could ever ask for! His love for this village is abundant, and working by his side for the last two years has given me insight into this. Long hours, pursuing all avenues of grant initiatives, working to bring economic development into this area, striving to keep taxes under control, working with the fire chief and department, etc., has been tireless. A more capable mayor you would be hard pressed to find. And there was no bonding. I would also like to thank the department heads, Clerk Treasurer Lynn, girls in the offices, and James Mead (code enforcer) for their help and support in my transition into village work. A very special thanks to Ron Horton and his crew for their support and advice in my commission as Sewer Commissioner. The plant is running smoothly. I look forward to working with them more in the next two years. The village is in great shape thanks to the above mentioned people. The election is on March 16 at the Central Fire Station. I would encourage people to vote Row A all the way! Sincerely, Grace Thomas Deputy Mayor Trustee 3rd Ward
