Tioga County Sheriff's Report for the week of Feb. 28, 2010

Crystal L. Bair, age 24, of 23 Sheldon St., Binghamton, NY Arrested on 2/20/10 at 12:07 AM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, Unlicensed Operator, and Drove to Left of Pavement Markings. These charges resulted from a vehicle stop on Route 96 in the town of Owego in which Bair was found to have a suspended license. Bair was issued appearance tickets to appear before Justice Paul Martin, Town of Tioga Court, on 3/3/10.

Harrison Timberlake, age 49, of 250 North Ave., Owego, NY Arrested on 2/20/10 at 2:30 AM for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. This charge resulted from Timberlake being searched by the Jail Division and found to be in possession of marihuana. Timberlake was issued an appearance ticket to appear before Justice Ronald Bell, Town of Owego Court, on 3/9/10.

Michael D. Cox, age 25, of 229 VanDorn Rd., Ithaca, NY Arrested on 2/20/10 at 8:23 PM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd, and Inadequate Tail Lights. These charges resulted from a vehicle stop on State Route 17C in the town of Tioga for inadequate tail lights. Cox was issued appearance tickets to appear before Justice Paul Martin, Town of Tioga Court, on 2/24/10.

Robert T. Smith, age 40, of 24 Doubleday Ave., Apt. 3, Binghamton, NY Arrested on 2/20/10 at 10:15 PM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, and Inadequate Brake Lamp. These charges resulted from a vehicle stop on State Route 17C in the town of Tioga. Smith was issued appearance tickets to appear before Justice Paul Martin, Town of Tioga Court, on 2/24/10.

John M. Kolesar, age 23, of RR1 Box 273, Rome, PA Arrested on 2/21/10 at 2:02 AM, on Route 282 in the town of Nichols, for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Speeding in Zone (57 mph in a 30 mph zone). Brandon P. Sullivan, age 20, of 853 W. Circle Drive, Vestal, NY Arrested on 2/21/10 at 5:41 AM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd, Speed in Zone, and Insufficient Plate Lamps. Kolesar was issued appearance tickets to appear before Justice Charles Quick, Town of Nichols Court, on 3/4/10.

Brandon P. Sullivan, age 20, of 853 W. Circle Drive, Vestal, NY Arrested on 2/21/10 at 5:41 AM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd, Speed in Zone, and Insufficient Plate Lamps. These charges resulted from an investigation of a vehicle stop for speeding on State Route 17 westbound. Sullivan is alleged to have operated a motor vehicle in excess of the posted speed limit, with a revoked license, and without working license plate lamps. Sullivan was issued appearance tickets to appear before Justice Ronald Bell, Town of Owego Court, on 3/16/10.

Jason K. Vanalstine, age 27, of 1045 State Route 222, Cortland, NY Arrested on 2/22/10 at 6:51 PM for Family Court Article 4 offense. This charge resulted from Vanalstine being detained by Cortland County Sheriffs Office on a Tioga County warrant. Vanalstine was turned over to Tioga County Sheriffs Deputies and arraigned before Justice Robert Henning, Town of Owego Court, and remanded to the Tioga County Jail on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond. Vanalstine is to appear before Judge Vincent Sgueglia, Tioga County Court, at a later date.
