Beginning March 8, 2010 the evening hours of the HEAP Department at Tioga Opportunities, Inc. will be by appointment only. For an appointment please call 1-866-352-3680 or (607) 687-4222 ext.303. HEAP is a federally funded program designed to assist you with your oil, coal, electric, propane, gas and/or wood bills. Even if your heat is included in your rent, HEAP may be available to you. Individuals receiving Public Assistance or Food Stamps may contact the Tioga County Department of Social Services at 687-8300 between the hours 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All others may contact Tioga Opportunities, Inc. at 1-866-352-3680 or 687-4222 ext. 303 for information. Tioga Opportunities walk-in hours are now 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
