The facility one time served as Harvard Custom Manufacturing, an entity controlled by the Matthews family, and has been acquired by Weitsman to begin his operations.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Weitsman, in an interview with various media outlets, stated that the operation, which will&nbsp;be developed over the next year, would mine bitcoin and three other crypto currencies.<\/p>\n<p>During his interview with WNBF out of Binghamton, Weitsman estimated the short-term investment in the project at about $25 million.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Weitsman, in the interview, said he expects it will take one or two months to get the first 2,500 miners hooked up, and that the initial work has gone smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>The site ultimately could house between 30,000 and 35,000 mining units, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Owego Pennysaver will have more information on this project in the coming months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In an article that ran in Syracuse.com as well as WNBF out of Binghamton, Adam Weitsman spoke about his latest venture to launch a crypto&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":88271,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-88270","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.2 -
