UPDATE: <\/strong>An autopsy was performed Friday morning on Casie Weese who was located in a wooded area off State Route 17 in Apalachin.  The autopsy performed at Lourdes hospital showed no obvious signs of trauma.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official cause of death is pending toxicology results and further investigation, which could take several weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

STORY: <\/strong>A four day long search involving multiple law enforcement agencies and emergency personnel ended at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, when New York State Police identified a female located deceased near the area of State Route 17 in Apalachin as Casie Weese, age 37 of Glen Aubrey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, troopers were walking along State Route 434 between Apalachin and Vestal when Weese was located in a wooded area, and near a fence line that spans along State Route 17 east and Route 434.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weese was reported missing Sunday morning to State Police in Owego. According to initial reports, Weese and her husband left a party on Main Street in Apalachin on Sunday at approximately 1:30 a.m.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the couple\u2019s car got a flat tire a short distance away from the party, according to police, and at some point shortly after, Weese left on foot. The police reported that Weese\u2019s husband has been cooperative with troopers throughout the investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous agencies assisted in the search to include troopers, State Forest Rangers, Tioga County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies, Broome County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies, Tioga Search and Rescue, and the Apalachin Fire Department assisted in a search from the ground, air and water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
