On Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m., Certified Genealogist\u00ae Pam Anderson will discuss the life of Hugh Dugan, one of the original owners of the current Parkview Inn, from his immigration to the United States c. 1845 to his move to Susquehanna County, Pa., and finally his life in Owego, Tioga County. The presentation will take place at the Tioga County Historical Society, located at 110 Front St. in Owego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story continues after his death, following his widow, two sons, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter who died in 2008 in New Jersey, the last of Hugh\u2019s family line. This talk will cover over 150 years of the life and times of the Dugan family and how they dealt with historical circumstances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pam is the owner of Anderson CoGen and lives in Franklin County, Pa. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society (NGS), New England Historical and Genealogical Society, Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, and the Maryland Genealogical Society. She has written several articles for their publications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
