{"id":74914,"date":"2019-08-28T11:23:31","date_gmt":"2019-08-28T15:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.owegopennysaver.com\/PS\/?p=74914"},"modified":"2019-08-28T11:23:48","modified_gmt":"2019-08-28T15:23:48","slug":"dss-names-linda-myers-as-employee-of-the-quarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.owegopennysaver.com\/PS\/2019\/08\/28\/dss-names-linda-myers-as-employee-of-the-quarter\/","title":{"rendered":"DSS names Linda Myers as Employee of the Quarter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On July 25, the Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced that Linda Myers, Community Services Worker, had been named Employee of the Second Quarter 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press release, officials from DSS stated that this award is given in recognition of Linda Myers\u2019 outstanding work and contributions to the Tioga County Department of Social Services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda began her career with Tioga County DSS in June 1990 when she was hired as a Typist. In October 1994, she was promoted to Community Services Worker. Provided photo.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>During the busy HEAP season, Linda spends much of her time on the phone as well as mentoring seasonal staff as needed. The release stated that during the 2018-2019 season, she assumed extra duties without sacrificing the quality of her existing duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DSS summarized the recognition in the release, stating, \u201cAs part of a recent restructuring of the off-season HEAP unit, Linda has been assigned overlapping job functions, which she does with a smile!
