The 5th annual Berkshire Blueberry & Book Festival will be coming up on Saturday, July 20. The festival\u2019s line up of \u201cLocal Authors\u201d includes old friends and new faces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Horror author, Pamela Morris, grew up in Berkshire where small town life may have been boring at times, but it certainly fueled her imagination when it comes to all things Horror. In fact, the inspirations that surrounded her back then resulted in the creation of the Barnesville Chronicles<\/em>, a series of novels set in the fictionalized versions of her hometown and other nearby communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The first two books, Secrets of the Scarecrow Moon<\/em> and That\u2019s What Shadows Are Made of<\/em> are not only Paranormal Horror, but Murder-Mysteries, as well. These were followed by a two-part set titled The Witch\u2019s Backbone:<\/em> (Part 1-The Curse and Part 2-The Murder),<\/em> inspired by Pamela\u2019s love of spooky urban legends. More books in The Barnesville Chronicles<\/em> are planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beyond the realms of Barnesville, Pamela has also traveled the much darker worlds of Psychological Horror with two additional titles No Rest for the Wicked<\/em>, set in a haunted plantation house in Virginia, and Dark Hollow Road,<\/em> which takes place in the isolated farmlands of Eastern Pennsylvania. Currently, Pamela is working on a more traditional-themed Gothic Horror set in southwest Texas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Meet Pamela and her fellow authors at the festival, held at the corner of Route 38 and Jewett Hill Road.
