The 56th Annual Tioga County Dairy Princess Coronation and dinner was held at the Newark Valley Fire Hall on Saturday, May 25. Arianna Aman, daughter of Aaron and Becky Aman of Candor, was Crowned the 2019-2020 Tioga County Dairy Princess. Aman is currently a junior at Candor Central High School, and is active in Candor Community Chorus, Area All State Chorus, Key Club, National Honor Society, plays volleyball and softball, and has been a Dairy Ambassador for three years and an Alternate for one year. Her plans are to attend college to study Forensic Science. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2019-2020 Alternate Tioga County Dairy Princess is Rosie Hines. Hines is the daughter of Wesley and Sarah Hines of Newark Valley, and is currently a sophomore at Newark Valley High School. Hines was a Dairy Ambassador in 2018-2019, has been involved in 4-H for ten years, and is currently in FFA. Her activities include cross-country, track and field, and bowling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly appointed 2019-2020, Tioga County Dairy Princess Ambassadors are Addison Aman, daughter of Aaron and Becky Aman of Candor; Jaime Card, daughter of Allen and Wendy Card of Barton; and Megan Henry, daughter of Brian and Lillian Henry of Candor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening\u2019s event started with a traditional Milk Punch and snacks as everyone arrived, followed by Master of Ceremonies Dawn Houppert\u2019s introduction of the current Dairy Princess court and candidates, including the out-going Tioga County Dairy Princess Chelsie Fuller and Alternate Diary Princess Emily Henry. Special guest for the evening was 1st Alternate New York State Dairy Princess, Alyssa Rhorda. Guest judges for the evening\u2019s competition were Karyn Rhorda, Cathy Cornell, and Deidra Harkenrider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following message from the Tioga Country Dairy Promotion Board gives a great explanation of the responsibilities these ladies will face in the coming year – you can look forward to seeing these dedicated Tioga County Dairy representatives at the many events throughout Tioga County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cAs Tioga County Dairy Promotion begins its 57th year of promotion, the focus continues to be on promoting the dairy industry and developing the lives of the many young ladies as they communicate messages about the health and nutritional value of dairy products to audiences of all ages. Our young ladies have the opportunity each year to promote dairy products to school age children and to participate in parades, Sundaes on the Farm, attend farm meetings, make radio announcements, write newspaper articles, attend local and state fairs and participate in state Dairy Princess Coronations. As a result of the continued commitment of the young ladies, their parents, individual and business supporters, our promotion program continues to be a success.
