The community is invited to come and learn new ways to restore, revive and renew the land and your body. Are you interested in new techniques that will improve your farmland, gardens, your physical health and your animals\u2019 health? Are you in need of alternative ways to help increase your knowledge of farming and live a healthier lifestyle? Then the upcoming Faith, Farming, Food and Fitness Forum, planned for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 10 is just for you. The event will take place at the Cafetorium, 1277 Taylor Rd. in Owego (the old Washington Gladden School Building).<\/p>\n

Three guest speakers will be sharing knowledge after years of study and \u201cdoing\u201d proven methods that help the land and your body get healthier. Dr. Roger DeHaan practices alternative and holistic medicine and has gained knowledge and expertise in a diverse range of fields including health, nutrition, medicine, science, history and theology. He has a doctorate in veterinary medicine and MTS in theology. <\/p>\n

Dr. DeHaan lived 12 years in the rainforests of Colombia developing community farms and educational, agricultural and health programs. He has authored three books: Our Foods Are Killing Us: Restoring the Creation Mandate; Healing for People, Pets, Plants and the Planet; and Creation Care: The Truth About \u201cLiving Green\u201d and Healing Our Planet. Check out his information at www.aholisticvet.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dr. Hue Karreman has more than 30 years of practical experience working with dairy cows. He has given presentations about organic livestock health care to farm and veterinary organizations in the U.S., Canada, Holland and South Korea. He has published three outstanding books and barn guides on treating dairy cows, naturally. <\/p>\n

He is co-owner with his wife, Suzanne, for the 400 acre Reverence Farm and Caf\u00e9 in Graham, N.C.   Suzanne Nelson Karreman was a successful and fulfilled reporter of finances and economics in the D.C. area prior to moving to North Carolina. Her vision was back to the land with regenerative farming. Ninety percent of the food in their cafe is grown on their personal farm. She enjoys the agricultural farm life and raising animals. These three main speakers will be presenting knowledge rich in truth that will help people learn a \u201ccleaner and pure way\u201d to farm the land, take care of your physical body, as well as, animal health care by using alternative methods.  <\/p>\n

The evening topic on Nov. 9 and 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. is Faith, Food and Fitness. The cost is $5 per night.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, the topic is Faith, Farming and the Future, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A bonus hour, from 3 to 4 p.m. will be open for questions and demos. The cost for Saturday\u2019s day session is $20, and includes a healthy lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Registration is needed by Nov. 5. <\/p>\n

On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to noon, the speakers will share at Abide in the Vine Fellowship with a freewill donation accepted. Books will be available for purchase. <\/p>\n

Nicole Kobziewicz, from \u201cIPT Nutrition and Fitness\u201d (Iptnutritionfitness.com<\/a>), will be available to help individuals interested in discussing nutrition and exercise. Stuart and Nikki Howard from \u201cChase After Health\u201d (www.chaseafterhealth.com<\/a>) will share knowledge about X\u2019Tract Lymphatic process, as well as other healthy wellness information.
