Be sure to visit the Arts and Crafts Barn during the Tioga County Fair, planned for Aug. 6 through Aug. 11 this year at the fairgrounds in Owego, N.Y.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Tioga County Fair will also introduce a craft and flea market, where a table can be rented for $10 on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 9:30 a.m. until close at the fair. <\/p>\n

Pre-register by email to cgoodrich4@verizon.net, or at a ticket booth during fair week, Aug. 6 through Aug. 11 at the Tioga County Fairgrounds. <\/p>\n

This year you can also rent a spot by the day for $10. These spots are in the field<\/p>\n

near the entrance. For $100 for the entire fair week, Aug. 6 through Aug. 11, you can rent a spot under the grandstand, with nightly lock up. <\/p>\n

Crafters are also sought for the Arts & Crafts Barn at the fair. Crafts should arrive at the barn on Sunday, Aug. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. The barn will be closed for judging on Monday. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the fair will be looking for the Best Pie in the County. There is no fee to enter, and pies will be judged at 1 p.m. To register, call 687-1719.<\/p>\n

Wednesday is Up-cycle Day. Make something useful from something that is unusable, and recycle. First prize is $100, second prize is $60, and third prize is $40. The contest, sponsored by Taylor Garbage, will take place at noon at the Arts & Craft Barn. To register, call 687-1719 and leave a message.<\/p>\n

Thursday will feature a demonstration of magnet making at 1 p.m., followed by a demonstration of working on a loom at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

Items from the Arts & Crafts Barn should be picked up on Sunday between 1 and 4 p.m., and participants will also receive their premium checks at that time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
