The Fair Board in Tioga County has been working rigorously on the planning stages for this year\u2019s Tioga County Fair, scheduled for Aug. 7 through Aug. 11 at the Tioga County Fairgrounds, Marvin Park, in Owego, N.Y.<\/p>\n

There have been some changes to this year\u2019s fair, to include a new admission fee of $10; which includes free parking, free grandstand admission and free carnival rides.<\/p>\n

The rides this year are also new, and are being offered by Gillette Shows \u2013 the same company that was featured at the Apalachin Fireman\u2019s Field Days and the Broome County Fair.<\/p>\n

\"BoardAccording to the show\u2019s website, they have updated and purchased new equipment and concessions over the years, and now own more than 30 rides and numerous game and food concession stands.<\/p>\n

Also new, or returning, is the beer tent, which will be open daily from 2 to 10 p.m. There will also be live music presented daily at the Show Trailer.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday another new feature, a Buckaroo Rodeo, will take place at the fair at 6:30 p.m. You can visit www.tiogacofair.com<\/a> for more information on this new feature.<\/p>\n

Guests will also be able to enjoy many of the fair\u2019s returning features such as Sire Stakes Harness Racing, the popular Dash for Cash event, the demolition derby, lumberjack show, and the Auto Racing Exhibition sponsored by Scott Smith & Son and the Early Owego Antique Center. <\/p>\n

Shadows of the Old West will also be returning as well as the Little Miss and Little Mr. Tioga Pageant, presented by Angel Face Pageants on Aug. 8. You can register online at angelfaceUSApageant.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n
