Tajiri, the calf of famous giraffes April and Oliver, will turn one year old on April 15.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was nearly one year ago that more than 2 million viewers all over the world tuned in live to watch Tajiri\u2019s highly anticipated birth via Animal Adventure Park\u2019s fanatical Giraffe Cam. Today, the video of Tajiri\u2019s birth has 15.3 million views, and the park\u2019s YouTube page currently boasts 8.5 billion watch time minutes and 295.7 million views. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This viral sensation brought 200,000 visitors to Animal Adventure Park during its 2017 season, and has solidified the park as one of the most beloved tourist destinations in the Northeastern United States. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On his first birthday, Tajiri\u2019s adoring fans will once again flood the Giraffe Cam, located at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UClnQCgFa9lCBL-KXZMOoO9Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.youtube.com\/channel\/UClnQCgFa9lCBL-KXZMOoO9Q<\/a>; but this year they\u2019ll have the pleasure of watching the nearly 10-foot-tall giraffe devour a special, giraffe-safe cake, specially crafted by his keepers. A small party will follow for staff and others in attendance, complete with (human!) refreshments generously provided by Baked Euphoria, a Broome County bakery that\u2019s been featured on TLC\u2019s Bakery Boss.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven before birth, Tajiri was stealing hearts and captivating our viewers, near and far. His audience has only grown to love him more over the past twelve months,\u201d Jordan Patch, owner of Animal Adventure Park, says. \u201cIt seemed only fitting to include Tajiri\u2019s fans around the world in his birthday celebration by throwing a fun birthday party they can attend virtually, thanks to our Giraffe Cam.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The birthday celebration will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 15.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Animal Adventure is an interactive, educational animal park located in the hills of Harpursville, N.Y., which is 15 minutes outside of Binghamton, N.Y. The park\u2019s mission is to communicate an appreciation for living things through the use of the human senses and to educate guests about the lives of its animal ambassadors.<br \/>\nAnimal Adventure is federally licensed by the USDA; ensuring that the same standards of care met by of zoos and aquariums in the United States.
