The Tioga United Way\u2019s 3rd Annual Adult Spelling Bee was a success thanks to a great number of volunteers, sponsors, celebrities, participants and supporters. <\/p>\n

On Saturday, March 24, 15 teams competed for the title of \u2018Best Spellers in Tioga County\u2019 and, in the end, it was the The PerSisters who took home the prize for 1st place. <\/p>\n

The team who took home the 2nd Place prize, as well as prize for Best Costume, was the Biker Bees, led by Barbara Patten, co-owner of Four Seasons Fitness Studio and Tioga United Way Board Member.<\/p>\n

Tioga United Way would like to thank their sponsors, Lockheed Martin and Literacy Volunteers of Broome\/Tioga Counties.  <\/p>\n

Heartfelt thanks is also given to the Master of Ceremonies, Steve Frye, Word Master S.G. Grant, judges Dave Astorina, Jim Tornatore, Julie Kipling and Orville Wright. Of course, none of this would be possible without their Board of Directors and all of their dedicated volunteers, to include Anne Grant, Teresa McNamara, Betsy Snyder, Jeri Sarrge, Connie Sternberg, and many more.  <\/p>\n
