The flu shot, they added, is especially important for those who work with children or senior citizens, or have a chronic illness like diabetes, asthma or heart disease.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are two flu shot clinics coming up on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and on Friday, Nov. 17, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Health &amp; Human Services Building located at 1062 State Route 38 in Owego.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you and your family are interested in attending either flu shot clinic, please pre-register at www.health.ny.gov\/go2clinic\/54 or call Tioga County Public Health Nursing at (607) 687-8600 (option 3) to schedule an appointment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns regarding the flu vaccine, call the health department or visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/flu\/about\/qa\/misconceptions.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.cdc.gov\/flu\/about\/qa\/misconceptions.htm<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flu season is approaching and Tioga County Public Health has a limited supply of free influenza vaccines (flu shots) available for Tioga County residents over&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[9],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-61688","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-whats-happening"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.2 -
