Dear Editor,<\/p>\n
Before last Columbus Day, I wrote about the largest genocide in North American history that started and followed Columbus. The United Methodist Church will not celebrate it via a 2015 resolution, and I concur with the church.<\/p>\n
Before a hundred years ago, women were treated like cattle before they were entitled to vote in New York State. The Declaration of Independence reads of freedom for men and I believe that is what they meant. <\/p>\n
Today, many women do not earn what men do, but I believe in my lifetime, justice has improved, though imperfect!<\/p>\n
Recently, in Charlottesville, Va., the town tried to remove a Confederate monument. Emotions rose up on several sides and racism appeared in the headline. <\/p>\n
The town tried to change history! You cannot do that! That was the times in our past. We have some good past experiences and some bad ones! There is a tendency to overdo what was wrong.<\/p>\n
We each have our separate belief system and we should not change history, because you cannot change it.<\/p>\n
