Two of the writers this year will be Carol Henry of Candor and first time festival participant, Therese Walsh.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Therese Walsh is the Editorial Director of Writer Unboxed and the Writer Unboxed Unconference. She is the chief architect of Author in Progress: A No-Holds Guide to What it Really Takes to Get Published, an empowering guide for writers, helping them through the hurdles they\u2019ll face on the way to publishing their book &#8211; whether it\u2019s the first or tenth. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Walsh\u2019s \u2018The Last Will of Moira Leahy\u2019 was a finalist for a RITA award in the Best First Book category and was a Target Breakout Book nationwide. Her novel \u2018The Moon Sisters\u2019 received two starred reviews (Library Journal and Booklist) and was named one of the best books of 2014 by Library Journal. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carol Henry has taught writing to young students as well as adults. A member of Romance Writers of America since 1984, she is also a member and past president of RWA\u2019s Chapter; the Southern Tier Authors of Romance; Sisters of Crime; and is Co-founder and Chairman of the local Write Now Writers\u2019 group.
