Main St. in Endicott, N.Y.<\/p>\n<p>Forty-three year old Ryan, who is originally from Apalachin, N.Y., underwent emergency gall bladder removal surgery at a local hospital on Feb. 29, 2016. During the procedure, her bile duct was damaged. After three failed attempts to repair the issue, Jenny was transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after arriving in Rochester, Jenny experienced sepsis, a life-threatening situation. In her case, bile leaked into her body, which caused infection and organ failure.
