This year did not disappoint, as there were 27 tables of woodworking displayed by 31 woodcarvers.<\/p>\n<p>Roger Westgate has coordinated the Woodcarver event for 26 years. Westgate is also the founder of the Catatonk Valley Woodcarvers.<\/p>\n<p>Other activities throughout the weekend included fall activities at the Iron Kettle Farm, quilt displays, goat farm tours and activities, and much more.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-52605 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-thumbnail'><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='http:\/\/www.owegopennysaver.com\/PS\/2016\/10\/17\/woodcarvers-highlight-the-annual-candor-fall-festival\/woodcarvers3\/'><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenstreetdata.com\/PS\/owego\/files\/2016\/10\/Woodcarvers3-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"Woodcarvers highlight the annual Candor Fall Festival\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-52608\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t<dd class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-52608'>\n\t\t\t\tRandy Connor, from Candor Hill Woodcarvings, was the recipient of the Harold C. Westgate Carver of Year Award. His peers voted him as an outstanding contributor to the Candor Woodcarvers Show.\u00a0Each year the members of the Catatonk Valley Woodcarvers Club nominate and honor their own carver of the year. Harold C. Westgate, who was an expert in the artistry of woodcarving, inspired this recognition. He inspired the club members to excel in all aspects of woodcarving and in teaching and was a perfect example of the Best of the Best.
