Join the Candor Historical Society and the Candor community on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. as Phil Jordan reminisces about his five-year stint as an Ithaca Journal newspaper boy.\u00a0His historical, and sometimes hysterical accounting of his escapades and encounters with many of the Candor residents is sure to bring the early sixties back to all who remember the people, places, and things that made Candor such a wonderful part of Americana.<\/p>\n
Jordan\u2019s wonderful storytelling ability and sense of humor will warm the hearts of many, and will have the audience wondering what they missed in the years when Candor was a bustling small town with many stories to be told.<\/p>\n
Come visit the Candor of yesteryear when there were four grocery stores, four gas stations, four taverns, a drug store, a variety Store, a hardware store, a funeral home, four churches, and one little Ithaca Journal paperboy whose duties went far beyond delivering the Ithaca Journal.<\/p>\n
Join them as they journey with Phil Jordan on his paper route through the many trials and tribulations, joys and sorrows that will be revealed in this once in a lifetime presentation at the Candor Fire Station at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30.<\/p>\n
