The donation was collected during Tioga State Bank\u2019s \u201cBlue Jeans Friday\u201d and additional contributions came from employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlue Jeans Friday\u201d allows an employee to have a dress down day in exchange for a donation that\u2019s then awarded to vital community agencies. This donation was given to further grow the CFTT Tioga County, N.Y. Discretionary Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The CFTT Tioga, N.Y. Discretionary Fund was established to distribute un-restricted funds through an annual grant making process. The Advisory Board oversees their county grant making process and awards grants based on the impact the grant will have on the ever-changing needs in their community.<\/p>\n<p>While most funds at CFTT are created to address very specific areas of need as well as the donors\u2019 areas of interest, Discretionary Funds are extremely important because they make grants to organizations that address immediate and current community needs.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in further contributing to this endowment fund then log onto the CFTT website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twintierscf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.twintierscf.org\/<\/a> and click \u201cdonate\u201d. Then choose \u201cTioga County Discretionary Fund\u201d from the drop down list. Donations can also be mailed in or dropped off at the CFTT office at 104 W.
