Pull out your calendars and plan to get spooky with tricks and treats at the Owego Elks Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 7 to 11 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The party begins at 7 p.m. with a tasting of Hallowines, Spirits, and Brews featuring wine, distilled spirits and beers from local merchants, microbreweries and wineries. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., rock out and dance the night away to live music from local band, After Dark.<\/p>\n<p>Members Tracey Neigh, Jeff Shepardson, and Brian Vallet have been entertaining the Southern Tier for many years and feature an array of tunes from the sixties to today. Their line-up includes rock, classic rock, country, and blues genres. Visit them on Facebook to learn more.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the evening will be a costume contest. Costumes are not required for the party, but you just might feel out of place. This dance has brought out the imagination, creativity, and inventive spirit of the community. Whether you come dressed up or not, the contest begins at 10 p.m. with prizes awarded to the winners.<\/p>\n<p>Light \u2018finger\u2019 foods and delectable \u2018bites\u2019 will be served complimentary during the Whines, Spirits, and Brews tasting. The bar will be open all evening and will feature fall brews and Screaming Mimi martinis. The spirits tasting ends at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for this event are $10. Advance tickets are available at the Lodge on Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. at \u2018Happy Hour\u2019, or by calling (607) 687-1039 or Dan Martin at (607) 349-3765. Tickets will also be available at the door. This is an adult event; no one under 21 will be admitted.<\/p>\n<p>The Owego Elks Lodge is located at 223 Front St. in Owego. All proceeds for this event will support the ongoing repairs and renovations to the Lodge. The Lodge provides affordable banquet and meeting options for everyone in the community.
