Bob Keener was at Bike Night selling raffle tickets for a tattoo from Artifex, and another for dollars to benefit Annie Rocks Nichols on Sept. 19, a fundraiser for a woman was left paralyzed from a motorcycle accident. The event will depart from Tioga Downs at noon as a ride that ends at the Nichols American Legion.<\/p><\/div>\n

Nobody went out and counted, but if you went to the end of Front Street in Owego, N.Y. you could still see the motorcycles. And The Cats featuring Jeff Howell, formerly of Foghat, The Outlaws and Savoy Brown, entertained the guests that arrived on Sept. 2, the final evening.<\/p>\n

Artistry by Shelly, that thanked patrons who arrived for the weekly event all year graced the building of Owego\u2019s Parkview Hotel and Restaurant, and celebrated the final Bike Night Owego event of the season.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the support of sponsors who purchased advertising in the Bike Night booklet, as well as those who purchased a chance at 50\/50 drawings weekly, the event was offered, weekly, and free of charge to everyone from the community.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday many residents were in awe at the number of chrome polished motorcycles that were lined up and down the street \u2013 reminiscent of a traditional Bike Week or similar event.<\/p>\n

Most of all, a big thanks goes out to the artists who performed each week for guests, and to Shark Audio for providing sound this year for most of the bands.<\/p>\n

The weather dampened a couple evenings, but for the most part, Bike Night at the Owego Parkview was able to rock Owego and welcome motorcycle enthusiasts and bikers each week.<\/p>\n

The owners are looking forward to the event growing each year, and always welcome community participation.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, members of the Athens American Legion Riders set up a table to promote their upcoming event on Sept. 19 entitled \u201cAnnie Rocks Nichols\u201d.<\/p>\n

On May 11, 2015, Annie Lineburg was in a motorcycle accident that left her paralyzed.<\/p>\n

The Sept. 19 event, which departs Tioga Downs at noon, and with registration taking place between 10:30 and noon for a cost of $15 per person, will benefit the Annie Lineburg Fund.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, raffle tickets for a tattoo at Artifex, as well as cash raffle tickets were sold and the event announced. The ride will end at the Nichols American Legion with a live performance by \u201cRust\u201d and more, and is presented by Tioga Downs Casino, AMVET Riders of Towanda, the Sayre American Legion, the Nichols American Legion, and the Athens American Legion Riders.<\/p>\n
