Team NV MOTIV from Newark Valley, N.Y., recently won 1st place in the New York State USBC Class B Youth Team Championship.<\/p>\n

Team NV MOTIV bowlers are Alex Umiker (captain), Kyle Martin, Cody Cornell and Nick Miller. They have been competing in team tournaments since December of 2014 to get to the State Championship.<\/p>\n

Their 1st win came locally at the STUSBC Youth Team Championship at Cardinal Lanes, Newark Valley in December 2014. Their 2nd win came at the New York State USBC 2015 Region 3 Youth Championship Tournament at Crystal Lanes, Corning in March.<\/p>\n

Their final win came at the 2015 New York State USBC Youth Team Championship at Strike ‘n Spare, Syracuse on Saturday, May 2 when they competed against all 10 regions (20 teams total) from all across the state. In addition to their 1st place plaques, the team was awarded a $1,000.00 college scholarship. The team has worked hard and put in many hours on the lanes to capture the State Championship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
