Weston W. Schwingle, of Newark Valley, N.Y. passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Jan. 21, 2015. He was born in Mannsville, N.Y. on Nov. 22, 1935.<\/p>\n
The only child of Leonard and Hortense (Barrett) Schwingle, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Murphy) Schwingle in 2006.<\/p>\n
He is survived by Suzann E. Strauss, of Newark Valley N.Y and her six sons and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are his two step-daughters, Kelly (Duane) LeBlanc, Morrisville, N.Y. and their children, Treavor (Laura) LeBlanc, great grand-children, Luke and Theo LeBlanc, Paul LeBlanc, Ryan LeBlanc, Danielle LeBlanc, Emily LeBlanc; Donna Niemetz and her children; Maranda Minutolo and Nicholas Beaulac; his stepsons, Charles Niemetz, Michael Niemetz and Donald Niemetz and 13 grandchildren; Cousins, Lyman Barrett and Helen Schwingle Garrett.<\/p>\n
Weston retired from NBT of Norwich N.Y. after 35 years of service. He also retired from Realty U.S.A. in Sidney N.Y. He was an avid collector of John Deere miniature tractors, woodworker, history buff, and loved to travel and seek out museums.<\/p>\n
The family received friends on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at the Estey, Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St. Owego, N.Y. 13827.<\/p>\n
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John The Evangelist Church, 28 Rock St. Newark Valley N.Y. on Jan. 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Moorby, officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, N.Y.<\/p>\n
